The Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland (CFoIS) has said that the first exercise by the Scottish Information Commissioner to collate FOI statistics across Scotland showed the need for a standard method of collating FOI information.
Carole Ewart, Co-Convener of the CFoIS, said:
“The publication of these statistics is a welcome step towards creating an authoritative Scottish database. However it does show the problems of different methods of collection and demonstrates the need for a standard methodology across all authorities.”
